I haven't used reason in ages but I still remember this blew my mind when I first saw it. Back in the day Reason didn't have an audio editor. The way you got audio into it was dropping it into redrum, nn19, or nnxt. There was no time stretching. Its genious how he matches it to the tempo by adjusting the speed to a mentronome then, He divides into 8th notes by offsetting start percentages.
- use root key transpose to adjust pitch/tempo
- turn on metronome, draw in a note, align snare to click
- copy, paste, set keyzones
- to find start % for 8th notes: 100% divided by 8 = 12.5% (hold shift for more precision)
